Dr. Roee Elan Rubinstein provides expert hand surgery and plastic surgery services to patients throughout the local community. In addition, he was part of the surgical team at UCLA that performed the very first human hand transplantation in the Western U.S.
He graduated magna cum laude from Harvard in 2000. He then went on to attend the most selective medical school in the U.S., the Washington University School of Medicine. Upon graduating in 2004, he was accepted into the renowned plastic surgery training program at UPMC in Pittsburg. He studied hand and upper extremity trauma, reconstruction techniques, composite tissue transplants and body contouring. In addition, he performed hundreds of microsurgical breast surgeries and extremity/facial reconstructions. He then went on to complete one of the nation’s top orthopedic hand surgery fellowships at UCLA.
